

The District offers presentations and workshops throughout the year for different audiences. Education staff can talk to a class, group, staff, or organization about recycling, composting, or waste reduction. Staff can also host a booth or table at events.

GENERAL RECYCLING PRESENTATIONS
We offer recycling presentations tailored to the specific interests and needs or your group. Consider requesting a speaker for your neighborhood meeting, church group, or any gathering. Request a presentation

SCHOOL AGE & YOUTH PROGRAMS
District educators will visit your classroom to teach about recycling and share waste related information. Programs can include videos, pictures, props, and activities based on age level and curriculum needs. Printable flyer

BUSINESS RECYCLING SEMINARS
Free recycling and waste reduction seminars for businesses, schools, and organizations. Learn how to start or improve a workplace recycling program and discuss successes and challenges.

COMPOST WORKSHOPS & BIN SALES
Compost workshops are typically scheduled in the spring and fall to educate about the science of composting and provide residents with how-to-compost instruction. Learn more about backyard composting.

This is a comprehensive training in solid waste reduction, reuse, recycling, and composting. Ambassadors will then volunteer and encourage fellow Louisville citizens to reduce, reuse, recycle, and rethink.
